Christmas

Christmas- themed post time!!!

I think my favorite Christmas song to listen to this year was.....okay, there's more than one.
1.

2.

Oh my goodness, these songs just get to me sooo much!

Christmas-y things I've enjoyed this year.

My many, many crochet youtube videos and patterns that helped me make it to my goal of crocheting Christmas gifts for my family.

Decorating Sidney's and my room. Every shelf, every dresser top, every hook and nail has a Christmas decoration on it of some sort. Sidney and I may be polar opposites personality-wise, but we love our Christmas room!

Dwight putting Christmas lights on the house because I couldn't do it . (more story later)

Getting a beautiful tree that took us only about an hour to find, world record.

Making some new friends that have made the past couple months so wonderful :)

My students' Christmas recital where they all played so well, I cried.

Teaching the Sunday school lesson on Charity. I learned so much more about having true, Christ-like love for others. I learned where I need to apply it in my life, I learned and recognized how much others show it to me, and I learned the whole reason Christ came to earth. To show us how to love, the real kind, not the romanticized Hollywood kind.

There have been many more wonderful things happening this December, my woefully human brain can't think of all of them right now, but I hope and pray you ALL have a very wonderful Christmas this year. That you feel love, hope, joy, and peace in the little things that make this life amazing.

Peace and blessings, y'all!!

Camera Thief

Every once in a while my camera gets stolen  borrowed by others of this household for personal needs. Here is one of them.

TV room

also bedroom

about here was when I stopped thinking "what the?" and realized what these pictures were.

My little sister loves to build tents. Not the outdoor, bendy pole kind, but the indoor, kitchen chair and every blanket of the household kind. She would permanently live in them if my mom let her. So this is why she stole my camera. She wanted to remember the architecture of this particular tent she built. I suppose it was more durable than average, also very useful space.

So I should probably keep better track of my camera. There was another time when I let Hailey's little niece take some pictures with my camera. There were some real gems on there, some of my behind even.

I'll probably put my camera up somewhere, or will I? I think the surprise is 75% of the fun :)

Christmas gift overload

Since graduating,....*takes a bow*....I have been blessed with feeling like I have time to do stuff I actually WANT to do. Such as sleep in. Go on walks. Watch shows. Clean like a mad woman. But this is all the fluff. The real stuff I've been doing is crafting, awwww yeah!!

I started crocheting again about 3 months ago, and let me tell you, it is soooo much fun! Okay, so if this thought passed through your brain,..."wow, does she know how to have fun or what" sarcastically, the answer is, depends on what you consider fun :) But crocheting IS fun! I mean, you just take this yarn and you weave it into magical shapes until it becomes a sweet, handmade beanie! Or an awesome scarf, any shape, color, or style you want!! Next frontier-baby clothes. But let me get to the point of this whole post.

I decided to crochet a present for everyone on my Christmas list. It's like 12 people long. For a rookie crocheter, that's pretty, um, crazy. Also, I got this other idea, I can't post it on here for fear the receiver of the gift will hear about it, but I'm pretty dang essited for it.

But holy goodness, am I busy with these projects!! When I finish one, I add it to my little stock pile of gifts, and then I stare at it for a few seconds all proud-like. And then it's on to the next! When I am finished with all of them, I will take pictures and post. Also, I am making something for each of my immediate family members, and I plan on taking a picture of all of them wearing their gifts. Don't worry, they all know I'm making them something already. I can't tell if they are excited about it, or just humoring my ever changing hobbies.

But yeah, I am busy, and hopefully will get all this stuff done by Christmas. If I am successful, believe me, you all will hear about it!

Here is a sweet slouch beanie! Super easy to make if you ever wanna dabble in some crochet yourself !!

Anywho, good luck with all your Christmas gift giving this year, if you've got any cool tricks up your sleeve, I'd love to hear about them!!

Peace and blessings, Y'all!!
